Combined work/Mile High Comics haul.  Someone sold us those Leeds volumes of Golgo 13 at work, and I wept with pleasure and ordered everything else that had been translated into English prior to the recent 13-volume Viz run.  I had no idea most of this existed.  Galinpero in particular is mind-blowing awesome.
I’m only missing one issue (which is on its way) and one volume.  The latter is problematic, because those are quite rare.  Hilariously, I ordered it from one of our other locations, and when the envelope arrived, it had been torn open, resealed, and contained a Colt gun catalog instead of Duke Togo.

Work haul.  Can you believe we were just going to throw away these perfectly good progs from the year 2000?!*

*yeah… not only did these only have, like, two series in them that anyone liked and reputations that proceeded them, I don’t think any of our customers want magazine-sized, 12-year-old British anthologies.   But I like them.

Work haul.  This is fairly rare and special, but only, like, six people know it exists.  I wound up with it when a copy came in at work.
The cover creeps me out.

Work haul.  Both from our distributor, somehow I missed them!  Masters of Manga surprised me by having actual great mangaka in it.  Takehiko Inoue, Suehiro Maruo, Usamaru Furuya, CLAMP…
Martha Washington was something I read about in the Megazine and wanted to try.  I saw it and made it mine.

Found in a used bookstore on Tuesday.  I work for a large chain of used bookstores, and this store had more BL than I’ve seen at all the other stores combined.
Somewhere, in the west suburbs of Chicago, a fujoshi has graduated.  Whoever you are, I bought a third of your collection.  It was choice.  She bought a little bit of everything, including almost all of the DramaQueen and Be Beautiful releases, until about 2007-2008.

More work haul: Clint Eastwood: Icon - ISBN 1933784962.

A collection of film poster art for all his movies, from A Fistful of Dollars through Grand Torino.  There’s some fantastic art in here, but the Peter Max poster for Paint Your Wagon was what sold me.

More work haul: The Art of Harvey Kurtzman, ISBN 0810972964.  A great cartoonist, and very interesting to see his strangely wide range of work all in one book like this.  Begins with his early comic art, ends with Little Annie Fannie.  My favorite parts were the bits about the various ’60s humor magazines he illustrated for.

Latest work manga haul:  Claymore 1-3, D-Gray Man 1.  Likely won’t get any more volumes of the latter, but I was curious about the beginning of that series.  Excited about Claymore, though!
Also, this will be the last time I take photos on my kitchen table. I promise.
